(ENG)\u00a0<\/strong>When I started my glass collection, one of the biggest dreams was to find Party-set designed by Kaj Franck.<\/strong> Party-set contains 1609 clear pitcher, 2744 stackable glass in ten different colors (also called Kimara- or Kartioglass) and a cardboard gift box. Finding the perfect set proved to be difficult, but I managed to buy a clear pitcher and the original cardboard packaging on an online auction for 60 euros. Small Kimara-glasses 2744 were not included in the set, but they were easy to find. Now I have two complete sets in use.<\/em><\/p>\n

Franck\u00b4s everyday glassware \u2013 whether tumblers, bowls, pitcher, or vases \u2013 is characterised by a strong sense of geometric form. Pitcher 1609 has been designed already in 1953 before the Kimara-pitcher 1610 and a ball-cylinder pitcher 1621. After a couple of years in production, the pitcher was modified. Franck wanted to combine the pitcher and the stackable 2744 Kimara-glass, which he designed in 1953. Pitcher was modernized – so it took up less space in small apartments of the 1950s. Pitcher was in production from 1953 to 1965.<\/p>\n

Martini- or juice mixer was described as ”the object of the day\u201d in a Nuutajarvi advertisement in 1955. In the other original cardboard packaging there is still visible the original promotional text (translation of my own): ”Nuutajarvi\u00b4s everyday colorful glassware has become a success, and every day the group of buyers that values the shape and color of glass increases. Our drinking glasses, bowls, and pitchers in a wide range of colors come together as an integrated whole and every object brings even by itself a refreshing color to the table. \u00a0The soft drink glass of the same model is perfectly suited alongside the Kimara-glass of this package\u00a0. It can be purchased in TOIVE-packaging containing six different colored glasses. Simply inquire more beautiful everyday objects, it is offered to you by Nuutaj\u00e4rvi glass factory, a leading manufacturer of color glass. Party-setti pit\u00e4\u00e4 sis\u00e4ll\u00e4\u00e4n Franckin suunnitteleman 1609 kirkkaan kaatimen, 10 pinottavaa eri v\u00e4rist\u00e4 2744 kimaralasia sek\u00e4 pahvisen lahjapakkauksen. T\u00e4ydellisen setin l\u00f6yt\u00e4minen osoittautui hankalaksi, mutta onnistuin ostamaan verkkohuutokaupasta kirkkaan suoran kaatimen ja alkuper\u00e4isen Party-pahvipakkauksen 60 eurolla. Kaj Franckin<\/strong> k\u00e4ytt\u00f6lasi, olivat ne sitten juomalaseja, kulhoja, kaatimia tai maljakoita, noudattaa geometrisi\u00e4 muotoja. Kaadin 1609 on suunniteltu jo vuonna 1953 ennen kimarasekoittajaa 1610 ja pallo-sylinterikaadinta 1621. Pari vuotta tuotannossa olemisen j\u00e4lkeen kaadinta muokattiin \u2013 haluttiin yhdist\u00e4\u00e4 kaadin sek\u00e4 vuonna 1953 suunniteltu 2744 kimaralasi. Voisi sanoa, ett\u00e4 kaadinta ajanmukaistettiin – korvattomana juomalasisettin\u00e4 se vei v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n tilaa 1950-luvun pieniss\u00e4 asunnoissa. Kaadin oli tuotannossa 1953-1965.<\/p>\n
